Founded 1841 in the birthplace of soy sauce “Yuasa", in Wakayama prefecture, by the Kano family.
Using a traditional recipe since the foundation, higher soybeans share (6: 4= soybeans: wheat) and only Japanese ingredients (soybeans, wheat). After pressing, the soy sauce is cooked and reduced for half a day in traditional cauldrons with open fires using local pine wood.

This soy sauce is brewed over 1 year in 150 year old cedar barrel. Yuasa is known as the birthplace of soy sauce. Bottled in Tokkuri ceramic.
